With a renewed interest in '80s-era glam metal by the dawn of the 21st century, new groups with a look and sound reminiscent to such acts as Mötley Crüe, Skid Row, and Dokken began to crop up once again, as evidenced by such bands as New York's Atello. Formed in 1998 and comprised of members from several local area bands (Persia, Playmate, and Top Secret), the Atello lineup includes singer/leader Larry Atello, guitarist Paul Danni, bassist R.A. Heiss, and drummer T. Motts.
